In this thread, we’ll support each other in accomplishing their dietary goals. And in order to best do that, we’re going to track our diets! Specifically, with MyFitnessPal.
How it works
Every night (at 4am CST), our system will check your diet from the day before, and compare against your calorie and macronutrient goals entered into MyFitnessPal. It will then broadcast your numbers to the group.

Now this is what I call accountability…LOL Right now my diet is eating anything since I am having surgery. I know not the best thing but I am making the most enjoyment out of this downtime as possible, plus its the holidays. When I get back into serious training and dieting, count me in! I like this accountability feature.
I started this eating cycle at fasted glucose 78, ketones 1.4. I trained at 7:30pm but wasn’t the most aggressive workout in the world, only 600 calories burned per my Polar, so my heart rate wasn’t going crazy.
My fast after eating this started at 9:30pm so I’ll check in on ketones and blood sugar at around 2pm, 16.5hrs later. If things are good then I’m going to nudge protein up.
I’m not currently concerned about fiber (want to do more research but I’m not convinced it’s necessary if you can get/produce butryic acid) and the potassium number should be a bit higher since I forgot to log a dose of Lo Salt.
But if I’m not eating a ton of beef, avocados, or enough nuts (or supplementing), potassium seems to be a problem for me. Need to get blood tests to see where I’m at though.
Biggest concern - this AM’s weight is 182.5, goal is to stick to 185. Very light eating two days ago got me.
Ha awesome, enjoy it through December and don’t let the sugary fats (cookies) get in the way of protein. Keep protein high post surgery!
I’m losing too much weight. 182lbs. Buying more beef today.
This is crap. I’m quite confident that beef has a good bit of potassium and I ate a bunch of it yesterday. May have to develop my own beef labels if I care about potassium.
I have a bag upstairs. My sodium isn’t especially high either, so I can use this as salt and as a first-thing-in-the-morning kind of drink
Oops, forgot that I closed the night down with a protein shake at about 8:30pm. Once we get this thing rolling, that would have cost me. So I ended up at 130 protein.
