If including two of the worst(and cheapest) ingredients for processed foods in a “Healthy Whole Foods Bar” is not cutting corners, then I guess to each his own
Marc is absolutely a business man first so while I do agree on liking him and have talked/worked alongside him many times, I disagree here
I don’t consider anything in the MRE family Whole Foods until we see a breakdown of the formula
I’m not sure I can post it here but I have an amino acid breakdown for mre lite. It’s good enough for me to keep using but there are less combined eaas in it than whey.
Edit: profile is a little bit similar to beef collagen
From what source? That isn’t disclosed
better off going with the vegan route, or getting a quality isolate IMO over beef protein
Someone very high up in rc1. It took a long ass time to get it. The only reason I won’t post is I am weary of posting a private conversation and the legal implications of doing so.
No idea. Oats, PB, whey…combined or on their own…all good. Must be the honey and all its “superfood” properties
I tried hard during my time with PricePlow to have Redcon1 to disclose the amino acid profile of MRE Lite. Aaron told me they were close - but they’ve yet to do it. In theory - it’s a great product, if the amino acid profile is comparable to a whole food protein source or whey.
As a result, I won’t touch MRE Lite. This is where Gaspari Proven Egg catapulted into my top 3 protein products.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt at first, but it’s been far too long. They are intentionally withholding information until they know the reception will be positive.
We’ll take it.
I can tell you that it is not comparable to whey, strictly looking @ amino acids (in my opinion/speculation of course). That being said I still use it almost everyday and I feel that it still has a place in my diet. Although it may not (alledegly
) have the same EAAs as whey, I include plenty of EAAs elsewhere in my diet and supplement with them as well, so it is a nice break from whey protein.
