Jalapeño? That should be interesting.
100 for original and outside the box flavor … big fan
inb4 it sucks
Not gonna lie, I’m actually thinking this one will be good. The Mexican in me is intrigued, although Reign has been mostly disappointing with flavors for me
I really like the Peach Reign flavor; reminds me of peach ring candy, which I love.
That’s one that isn’t bad actually lol
Reign is either REALLY good or really quite bad.
I still say the Lemon flavor tasted like Poptart crust.
Big Nootropimax fan here
I think its pretty cool that @Joey_Savage came in here to discuss some rationale of his products. I enjoy when a company is willing to explain their reasons. Thats why I love this site, plus I get to learn companies I am not aware of, like Blue Star and how they write white papers for their products explaining them. I have become a fan of them over time, and I have not heard of Glaxon until the other day, but now that they are willing to come chat about things, I will gladly start to look into them. Transparency is the key, whether we like the reasons or not! Great way to kick off 2020 PP nation!
You aren’t going to like hybrid then. ![]()
I swear to God, one product out of an entire product line and I’m not going to hear the end of it until it’s reformulated.
Mike you’re setting the stage for some good content creation.
I do think that it’s time for more industry transparency. However, there are some matters that do have to be handled delicately. I have stacks of NDA’s with companies that have trusted me with information that is propriety and there’s going to have to be some lines that have to be drawn. However, I will share what I can in the hopes that you can realize all the great accomplishments and drawbacks of various products, not just my own. By no means are all final formulation decisions completely accountable by one person. All facets of the business itself have an impact on what actually makes it to market. Fortunately for me, I have access to all this stuff in whatever dosages I choose, and for that I am grateful. Personally, I’d rather talk ingredients and different mechanisms of action instead of a finished product because there’s so subjective in their reception, but that’s what kinda makes this interesting now in this industry. Simply looking at the preworkout category, we seemed to have cornered this basic formula of how all preworkouts should work: Beta Alanine, Citrulline, Betaine, Caffeine plus whatever carnival of stimulants we like, plus amazing flavors. Surely, I can’t be the only one bored to death of this category. However, this does beg us to go in search of new categories and even ones not sufficiently enough explored. Fortunately enough, we live in a time where we stand on the shoulders of giants and are able to comb seas of data in search of new compounds and new mechanisms that interact with the body in what seems to be a new way, but has actually been doing so throughout our entire existence on this planet. The only difference is that we are now aware of it.
I know I may not see eye to eye with you on everything, and I know I’ve been pretty (really) critical of some of your stuff, but I honestly respect you for taking the time to come here, talk about stuff, and be honest about your decision making processes, even knowing full well that some of the answers you give may not be terribly well received by some people.
Speaking of non-PWO supplements, I do think nootropics are here to stay, and not just a fad. And I have more interest in them than in PWOs as well. The potential customer base is just so big and diverse, and the potential benefits of a solid nootropic are very real and can really have a positive impact on quality of life and productivity.
There’s still a long way to go though in terms of what the average person thinks of when they hear nootropics, or what the most popular nootropics are though, as I look at Amazon’s best sellers and see junk like Alpha Brain, and of course something like that is selling the true potential of nootropics very short. Then there’s the people claiming noots are like NZT from Limitless, usually trying to sell something of their own, and that’s only setting people up for disappointment, as, while they’re awesome, they’re not sci-fi-move-plot-device good. Nothing is. Not even -finils and other experimental nootropics/drugs can come close to that insane level of fictional drugs.
What I find really interesting in general is the union of modern science and research with traditional and historical use. Validating some things and disproving others. Like how modern research and extraction methods give us quality extracts like KSM-66, Bacognize, SHR-5, PrimaVie, etc. And lion’s mane too; perhaps we’ll see a “gold standard” extract emerge in time, and make life easier for us. These things have been used for hundreds of years, or even thousands in the case of things like ashwagandha, and modern research is confirming many benefits, and making getting the optimal amounts of the key active compounds without any potential contaminants very easy and pretty affordable. And it’s so easy to find information today; the average person with a smart phone has access to amounts of information that even a king could only have dreamt of even only a few hundred years ago.
Can’t speak for everyone, but i know at least some are just giving you shit because you immediately got so defensive and rude. “Goons,” etc.
Is it cool to have someone in the biz come in and answer questions? Yes, very. Is it cool for that person to immediately begin sneering at a forum full of consumers for questioning their products, or asking why some “shortcuts” were taken with a profile? Not so much.
I’m not mad about it, it just sets a bad image and opens you up to being put on blast.
Don’t sweat it. I generally have a prop blend in my stash that I use. Keeps things interesting. ; )
Sounds great! NDAs I understand, I spent 20 years in the Army and spent half my career under an NDA lol… You are right, the PWO Category can get boring, most categories for that matter are. That is why I enjoy the mindset of “why” a product was made, makes it more interesting than the assumption of, oh its business and the company wants money (nothing wrong with that, but I think a lot of those Wal-Mart brand type companies do). The reviews I have done on PP I always start with the Why I Bought this, so everyone can understand why I took it, in hopes of more understanding.
I get excited by the little things, especially when I find a new ingredient that works for me. I remember when I first tried Ghost Size and realized that my body responds so well to Epicatechin! Or when I realized that Vasoblitz truly does give me an all day pump after saturation. My most recent find was Blade PM by Blue Star, it just sits well with me. I am always in search of the next interesting and great product, so I look forward to learning more about your company!
My $0.02 on a product that I would likely never purchase and the conversation in this thread thus far.
I think a lot of the attention comes from using two “high profile” keywords on the front of the label (nootropic & keto). Each one has its own hardcore consumer base and they expect certain things from a supplement with those keywords and marketing points advertised.
Aside from that, as @muscleupcrohn mentioned earlier, the website highlights multiple studies about certain ingredients in the formula for effects with dosages that can’t possibly be included in this supplement at one serving. For many who have been involved in this industry for any length of time, using study citations for ingredients that are under-dosed in the specific product being advertised could be seen as a “shady move” to many of those people and an effort to trick the uneducated consumer into expecting a certain effect from the supplement.
Best of luck with this product and all the others in your line.
Just heard from the CEO on IG. They are going through a rebrand and corp. restructure, so everything is offline for now.
I was a fan back in the day
That’s exciting! Glad they aren’t gone for good.
