Have We Looked in the Wrong Direction for More Than 100 Years? Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness Is, in Fact, Neural Microdamage Rather Than Muscle Damage

I’ve thrown around the idea out of boredom that muscle soreness isn’t - not never, not always - direct cause and effect from muscle damage… That other things have to factor in. Coming across this theory today is an interesting one. Needless to say the detailed anatomy and physiology of it is over my head, but I get where the theory goes.
