I remember you posting that burger challenge. That’s crazy, though, I’m a pretty big eater compared to most people I know, but I’m not even close to that! Anyway, I was just commenting that you post a lot of desserts in this thread.
Nothing is wrong with desserts. Anything is fine in moderation. Its not like I eat pints of ice cream everyday or head to Oakmont Bakery which is 3 Hours away on the daily norm. I enjoy a cheat meal per week and move forward.
I have a sweet tooth and because of that I have 300 videos on my Youtube where I make healthy protein desserts. It is a good way for myself and many others who do the same to incorporate recipes to change things up and find creative ways to utilize their whey protein.
Same could be said between fine dining restaurants and going out to a local fast food chain. There is a huge difference in the quality of food you get and what you pay for.
For example go to a high end steakhouse and you get a quality product (Kobe, Wagyu Beef, Dry Aged Steaks). The price point will be much higher. Hell some steaks were up to $120-$150 in Columbus and Vegas for those. The same could be said with micro-creameires and their mix-ins, quality of their bases, and higher buttermilk fat % they use in their ice cream bases. Hence the price point.
Again not something you pay for a daily basis, but it comes down to the individual and what they value in quality. I buy ice cream online maybe a few times a year, and 6 pints would last me upward to 2 months.
Look at a typical american who drops
$5 everyday buying a starbucks drink
$7 daily in Cigs or dropping $30 in beer every weekend.
$10-15 going out to breakfast or lunch everyday.
I could find much worse ways to spend $120-125.
Besides groceries, bills, gas and go out to eat maybe 1-2x a month I don’t really buy anything else. I keep my supplement intake limited, so I am not always buying the next pre-workout or protein to hit the market. Therefore if I budget for something I will spend the extra money to treat myself.
