FAQ / Forum Rules

Rules for All Users

In general: don’t break the law, use the tools, and maintain a positive atmosphere.

  1. Do not break the law

This website is hosted in the USA, so we will follow American laws. If you are up to something illegal, do it elsewhere or face permanent banning and deletion.

This includes but is not limited to the following:

    1. Pornography laws

    2. Threats of violence or advocating suicide

    3. Sales of scheduled drugs or prescription drugs

Ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

  2. No doxxing

Under no circumstances are you allowed to post the full name, address, email, IP address, or phone number of another member of the community.

  3. No posting of individual affiliate coupon codes

You may not post your coupon codes, except in company-specific promotional forums.

If there is a good coupon code through one of our retailers, contact PricePlow to get it added.

  4. Multiple accounts are not permitted

    One account per person.

  5. No brigading

You may not encourage others to like or flag a post. Let it be natural.

This includes brigading done off of this forum.

  6. No automated signatures.

If anyone cares about you, they can click on your profile.

  7. DO Discuss our competitors

Due to our business model, PricePlow both competes and partners with other websites and retailers such as Amazon, Suppz, TigerFitness, etc.

Our “direct” competitors are Stack3d, SupplementReviews, AnabolicMinds, and others. Our friends are also Stack3d, SupplementReviews, AnabolicMinds, and others!

So if there’s a great piece of content or discussion on any of these sites, you post a link to it in our forums! These forums will not be a walled garden. Quality is quality.

  8. Maintain overall positivity

Negativity is sometimes warranted and justified. But if that is the primary attitude you bring to the forum, and you’re more often negative than positive, you will be removed from these forums.

Use the flagging and liking system!

Additional Rules for Company Reps

  1. Identification

A company rep must identify themselves as such by joining their company’s “Group”, which will put your company’s logo in your avatar.

Contact the forum admins to get your team setup.

  2. No unsolicited interjection

Company reps may not interject their product into a discussion about another product.

For instance, if a user is specifically asking about Brand XYZ’s product, a rep from Brand PDQ may not suggest their own.

However, if a user asks a general question about a type of product (eg. “What’s the best protein powder?”), reps should have at it:

    1. Reps must briefly justify why their product is best in the above scenario. No one-word answers.
  3. No flagging

Reps may not use the flagging system.

  4. No thread crowding

A maximum of two reps from each team may participate in a thread, and they may not engage in banter amongst themselves. This is to prevent thread bumping (example).

Exception: inside of a team’s Company Promotion subcategory. You may post as much as you like in your own subcategory.

  5. Cite sources to backup claims

If you’re going to make a scientific claim, provide sources.

These rules will evolve over time.
