New supplement thread

I saw that Stack3d has a ton of news from Olympia…a lot going on…It would take me all day to post it. Off the top of my head it looks like ModernBCAA is making it’s return.

Modern Sports Nutrition will be a conjunction with the 2 items I reviewed not too long ago from “Action Sports Nutrition”. The companies go hand in hand.

Traffic from brands attending the event was down from the normal (from what I have heard). I also saw a couple people post about that on facebook in regards to who showed up, and how there was a lot of open space for vendors.

can’t blame them, the cost is ridiculous

Arnold is very pricey too, just a lot more traffic which makes more sense.
Maybe @Mike or @Extrabeef can chime in on the traffic and vendors when they get time.

Alpha Lion Gain-O-Rade intraworkout EAA Product

Servings:
21 maximum servings per tub or 42 half servings,

Flavors:
Grapemelon Gains and Leg Day Limeade.

Countdown to Gat-O-Rade having an issue with this in 3…2…1…

Boom Marc did a video on a while ago (too busy to look for it atm), and we (Gaspari) had a call and discussed it as well, having a booth and the cost associate with them, is far from worth it.

I have never attended…It sounds like attendance is down. Do people (outside of vendors) travel to attend the Event? I would stop by if I were in Vegas, but wouldn’t travel just for it…Just curious.

i heard attendance was down, and yes some people do travel to Vegas for the O, i assume they schedule a vacation around it.

I think for some smaller, new, up and coming brands, the booths are a great idea for exposure (i should have stated that earlier)

Going as a spectator is tricky. I was working the event (which I did in 2011-2012 with Scivation). The cost to fly, hotel, food, gym passes, taxi/uber is crazy especially in Vegas. Then if you get a bunch of product or apparel you have to lug it all back on your flight.

If i lived close enough to drive it may be a different story (which is the case for me and the arnold). But the cost is pretty steep to attend the event, take time off work, and get to line your agenda up for the event.

I enjoy the virtual aspect. Stack3d’s online expo is a good idea in theory. Send out samples and have customers pay shipping…

Similar concept and it lets people who normally wouldn’t travel to the show have an opportunity to try some products.

I had precision protein at an expo for the first time (3 years ago). I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise. Trying products is a necessity for gaining new customers these days.

Honestly… I’m that cliché LA to Vegas driving distance. Before MAYBE last year, I wouldnt have been able to swing that kind of a weekend trip. But expos are on the decline, I have a family and I’m not spending a whole weekend away from them for that. I’ll go all in for one day at the LA Fit Expo every single year. If I were a Midwest guy, Arnold would be my thing. If I lived down south, Europa.

Attendance did seem low and various good brands from past years missing. Reing booth was nothing special and rule 1 was being the hype team throwing shaker bottles left and right since bang wasn’t there.

It’s good to go for networking purposes if you work in the industry. I could imagine it being fun as a consumer the first time you go like it was for me back in 2014. When I go now, I walk for 20 minutes and already want to leave lol.

Most of the people that I want to see end up just hanging out at the Renaissance. I look more forward to seeing people like @Extrabeef and @Mike than I would any of the fitness celebrities there personally, so maybe I’m just the weird one.

Took me a minute to realize that Bang wasn’t there. Which was nice and sad at the same time.

Down 25+% over last year, which was down 28% already.

I’ll definitely be talking about this some, but we have an incredible video detailing this with Dan from Ghost coming up today and why Ghost decided not to attend. We also look at what could improve it and how other industries tackle this stuff (Dan even talks about pizza expos…which I need to find one)

No Bang in Vegas is a bad weekend. I’ll let myself out.

Pizza Expo, and no legend bowl? Tell him hes trippin’

A competitor was a sponsor on the Fit Expo tour this year, which ended up boxing out Bang altogether. Speaks volumes.
